Improvely starts at $29 a month and bills on visits tracked rather than ad clicks. The conversion tracking is solid for that price. The click fraud side only alerts you, so if blocking invalid clicks is the reason you are paying, a dedicated tool does that job automatically.
Improvely Alternatives: 7 Tools Compared
Last updated: August 2026
Improvely tracks conversions and flags suspicious clicks, but it never applies the block for you. Its own feature page hands you the offending IP and instructions to exclude it yourself. If you want that step automated, ClickPatrol, Hitprobe, Clixtell, ClickCease, Fraud Blocker, ClickGuard and TrafficGuard all do it.
What Improvely does, and where it stops
Improvely is two products in one account. The first is conversion tracking: it identifies the source of every signup and sale, builds an activity profile per visitor, and offers link tracking and A/B split testing. The second is click fraud monitoring, which inspects ad clicks and raises an alert when something looks wrong. It is sold by Awio Software, the company behind W3Counter, and pricing starts at $29 a month for 10,000 tracked visits.
Where it still earns its keep
The tracking half is genuinely useful, and it is the reason most people signed up. Improvely counts visits from every source rather than only ad clicks, keeps two years of visitor history, and puts no limit on the number of sites in one account. Agencies get sub-accounts from the $149 Small Agency plan and white-label reporting on a custom domain from $299. That is a fair package for a freelancer or a small shop that wants attribution and a fraud warning light in the same dashboard.
Where it falls short
The fraud half detects, reports and deters. It does not prevent. Improvely's click fraud page says it will show a warning page to a suspicious clicker and then "give you their IP address and instructions to block it from seeing your ads". You apply the exclusion by hand, in Google Ads, every time. It also documents no Meta or Microsoft Ads protection, and the page still sources its headline claim that 17 to 29 percent of paid clicks are fraudulent to Click Forensics and Anchor Intelligence, with no date attached.
Why agencies start looking for something else
Manual blocking scales badly. One account and a handful of repeat clickers a week is a task you can absorb. Fifteen client accounts is a standing job for somebody, and it only gets done on the days nobody is firefighting. The gap between an alert firing and a human adding the exclusion is budget you have already spent.
The second problem is coverage. If a client runs Meta or Microsoft Ads alongside Google, Improvely has nothing documented for either. And the newer tools do something Improvely never claimed to: they keep the invalid traffic out of remarketing lists and out of the conversion signal that Smart Bidding learns from, so the damage stops at the click instead of travelling into the bidding algorithm.
Cost pushes too. Improvely charges on visits tracked, which includes organic and direct traffic. A site with heavy organic traffic and a modest ad budget pays for volume that has nothing to do with fraud.
The best Improvely alternatives compared
Seven tools worth a look, grouped loosely from closest replacement to biggest change of approach. Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page, checked in August 2026.
ClickPatrol
The closest thing to Improvely's fraud half with the manual step removed. ClickPatrol scores every click against more than 800 data points and blocks the source automatically, with a stated bot accuracy of 99.97 percent. It splits the work across four modules: AdProtector blocks in real time, AudienceProtector keeps bots out of remarketing and lookalike lists, DataProtector cleans the conversion signal feeding Smart Bidding, and FormProtector filters junk form fills before they reach a CRM.
Plans run from €59 a month for Traffic Security Starter, billed annually, with unlimited domains and unlimited platforms on every tier. Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads and DV360 are all covered, Performance Max included. Setup takes about a minute and needs no code. Worth knowing: the free Traffic Insights tier monitors only, so active blocking needs a paid plan. Full details are on the click fraud protection pricing page, and agencies running multiple client accounts should start at the agency page. Built in the Netherlands, GDPR and CCPA compliant, and used by 1,793+ businesses.
Hitprobe
Structurally the nearest match to Improvely, because it also sells analytics and click fraud protection as one product. You get real-time session analytics with a full timeline, browser fingerprinting, a risk level per session and custom events, plus rule-based exclusions that actually apply themselves. Audience, IP, network and domain exclusions cover Google Ads, with Meta and Microsoft audience exclusions included and other networks handled through a Google Tag Manager event.
There is a free forever plan, though at 50 sessions it is a demo rather than protection. Real use starts at $80 a month for 10,000 sessions, five sites and ten users, rising to $490 for 250,000 sessions with unlimited sites. Every plan is fully featured, which is unusual in this category. The vendor states limited support for Performance Max and Shopping, so check that against your campaign mix first.
Clixtell
The cheapest way to keep a monitoring habit and add real blocking later. Clixtell splits the two jobs across plans: $15 a month buys detection only for up to 5,000 ad clicks, and $50 adds automatic Google Ads IP exclusions, custom security rules and Account Defense Mode for 10,000 clicks. The Agency plan from $75 covers unlimited domains and unlimited Google Ads accounts with native MCC support.
Session video recording is included from the entry tier, which is the feature Improvely users tend to miss most when they switch to a pure blocking tool. Bing Ads appears in the vendor FAQ but not in the plan table, and no Meta protection is documented. Plans are priced per domain unless you take Agency, so multi-site advertisers should price that carefully. More in our Clixtell review.
ClickCease
The largest install base in the category and now the SMB tier of CHEQ. It protects Google, Meta and Microsoft Ads, blocks fraudulent IPs automatically, and adds bot protection for WordPress and lead validation for HubSpot. Agency permissions and white-label reporting arrive on the Pro plan, which is the tier most agencies will land on.
Pricing starts at $99 a month billed annually, with $149 for Pro and $349 for Advanced. The site advertises 30 percent off, but that promo covers the first three billing cycles only and the regular price returns in month four. Read the traffic allowance carefully as well: CHEQ counts any activity it detects, internal page views included, not just ad clicks. We cover the trade-offs in our ClickCease review.
Fraud Blocker
A good fit for an agency coming off Improvely's white-label plan, because white-label is on every tier rather than reserved for the top one. The Pro plan covers 50 websites and ten team members for $99 a month, which is generous next to competitors that charge per domain. Standard is $79 for one site and 5,000 ad clicks, Enterprise starts at $489, and annual billing takes 20 percent off across the board.
Detection covers fraud scoring, device fingerprinting, VPN and proxy blocking and custom rules, with API access included. Two limits to plan around: Microsoft Ads is not native, so bad IPs have to be exported to CSV and imported by hand, and protection stops when the monthly click allowance runs out unless you upgrade.
ClickGuard
Priced on monthly ad spend rather than clicks, with unlimited clicks on every plan. That suits accounts with high volume and low CPC, where click-based pricing gets expensive fast. It tracks paid clicks, organic clicks, visitor behaviour and conversions, and the exclusion controls are the most granular in this list: cross-account, geo, multi-targeting, VPN, IP range, behaviour and conversion based.
Lite starts at $74 a month for one website and up to $5,000 of monthly spend, but it covers one platform only, so you pick Google, Meta or Microsoft. Standard from $119 covers all three, and Pro from $159 adds conversion tracking, unlimited websites and six months of data retention. Data retention is one month on Lite, which is short if you ever need to build a refund case. Our ClickGuard review goes deeper.
TrafficGuard
The lowest headline price with the narrowest entry scope. Shield is $49 a month for a single domain on Google Search, covering up to $30,000 of monthly ad spend with unlimited user seats. The trial runs 30 days, longer than anyone else here, but it operates in detection mode only, so nothing is blocked until you switch it on.
Everything beyond that is a custom quote. Meta, affiliate and mobile protection are separate enterprise products, and Performance Max coverage sits on the Scale plan. The affiliate product is the interesting one for anyone who came to Improvely through affiliate marketing, since it handles cookie stuffing, forced clicks and late-stage attribution hijacking. See our TrafficGuard review for the full picture.
How the tools compare on price and coverage
Prices are the vendor's own list prices in August 2026. Where a plan is billed annually or discounted for an introductory period, the sustainable price is shown rather than the promotional one.

How to pick the right one
Start with the thing Improvely could not do for you, because that is the only reason you are reading this.
If the problem is the manual step, any tool in the table solves it, so choose on platform coverage and price. If a client runs Google only and spends under $30,000 a month, TrafficGuard Shield is the cheapest honest answer. If they run Google and Meta together, that rules out Shield and Clixtell and leaves ClickPatrol, ClickCease, Fraud Blocker, ClickGuard and Hitprobe.
If the problem is that you also lose the tracking when you leave, Hitprobe is the only tool here that replaces both halves of Improvely in one product, and Clixtell keeps the session recording. Everything else assumes you keep an analytics tool alongside.
If you manage client accounts, check three things before the price: how many domains a plan covers, whether white-label reporting is included or gated behind the top tier, and how long data is retained. A one-month retention window is fine until a client asks you to prove what happened six weeks ago.
And check what happens to the invalid traffic after the block. Keeping bots out of remarketing audiences and out of the conversion data that Smart Bidding trains on matters more over a quarter than the clicks you saved this week. That is the argument for click fraud protection that works at the signal level rather than the invoice level.
Which alternative fits which situation
A freelancer or single-site advertiser on a tight budget who mainly wants the alerts to turn into action: Clixtell at $50, or TrafficGuard Shield at $49 if the account is Google Search only.
An advertiser running Google and Meta who wants the fraud kept out of audiences and bidding signals as well as out of the invoice: ClickPatrol, with a 7-day trial and a one-off €0.01 card verification rather than a charge.
An agency that used Improvely's sub-accounts and white-label reporting: Fraud Blocker for the number of sites per plan, or ClickCease Pro if clients need Microsoft Ads and HubSpot lead validation too.
A high-volume, low-CPC account where per-click pricing punishes you: ClickGuard, priced on ad spend with unlimited clicks.
Someone who wants one tool for analytics and fraud, the way Improvely was meant to work: Hitprobe, starting free and fully featured on every paid plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Improvely worth the money?
How does Improvely compare to Google Analytics?
Improvely attributes every signup and sale to a source and keeps a per-visitor activity profile, which Google Analytics does not do out of the box. Analytics is free and far broader. Improvely is narrower, paid, and adds click fraud alerting that Google Analytics has no equivalent for.
What kind of reports does Improvely provide?
Improvely reports on visits and conversions by source, campaign and tracking link, plus A/B split test results and per-visitor activity history going back two years. Its fraud reports list the IP address, location, referring URL and timestamp of every suspicious click, formatted to submit to the ad network.
What are the best Improvely alternatives?
ClickPatrol, Hitprobe, Clixtell, ClickCease, Fraud Blocker, ClickGuard and TrafficGuard all block invalid clicks automatically instead of alerting you. Hitprobe is the closest swap because it bundles analytics with fraud protection. TrafficGuard Shield is cheapest at $49 a month for Google Search on one domain.
