ISP (Internet Service Provider)

An ISP is the service provider that supplies internet access to a user. In the dashboard, this refers to the network used by the person or server that interacts with your campaigns. For example, ISPs can include well-known providers like Vodafone, T-Mobile, or other regional services. When individuals or private users engage with your campaigns, you will typically see the ISP listed.

Organization

An organization refers to the actual company that owns the IP address interacting with your ads. This information is crucial for B2B campaigns, as it helps you see which companies are engaging with your campaigns. For instance, if a company like Coca-Cola is viewing or clicking on your ads, our system will identify Coca-Cola as the organization, while Vodafone may be listed as the ISP.

How we identify organizations

Determining the organization behind an IP address involves more than just looking at the ISP. We use additional data sources and identifiers, such as host addresses, to provide a more detailed view of who is interacting with your campaigns. This gives you better insight into which companies are viewing your ads.

However, To protect individual user privacy, when someone visits or clicks on your ads as a private user (not associated with a company), only the ISP is displayed. For example, if an individual using T-Mobile interacts with your ad, the dashboard will only show T-Mobile, safeguarding personal details and preventing over-identification.

By distinguishing between organizations and ISPs, we help you better analyze who is interacting with your campaigns, particularly in the context of B2B advertising, while also ensuring privacy is respected for individual users.
